At Hurston Dressage and Eventing, we believe that any horse and rider combination is capable of achieving a good result and that it is mainly due to lack of understanding that dressage has become a niche discipline.
This campaign aims to help all those who wish to enjoy the harmony between horse and rider that dressage can create. Even if you have never competed in a dressage competition, don't have a 'dressage horse', or are not even a competitive rider, we think that you and your horse could benefit greatly from correct training teamed with the ability to realise potential in yourselves and your horses.
There are many different ways of training a horse correctly, so we do not wish to preach our methods; different things work for different horses. We would simply like to share our passion with others.
HDE will be holding a series of clinics, lecture demos and social events simply to illustrate the purpose and necessity of dressage, not only for competition, but also in everyday riding. Keep checking our calendar for future dates.

"Hi Ali and Ed, I just wanted to compliment you on a very professional evening last night. It should have been very relevant to everyone watching. It was very good to see the odd horse that was not perfect, as they made all the mistakes we are familiar with. It looked well organised, accessible, informative, and amusing with your repartee between each other. Sven looked fantastic - we do not often get to see that calibre of horse in action close to."

"Dear Ed and Ali, I just wanted to say a very big thank you for last night's lecture demo at Medstead. It was absolutely brilliant and I could have stayed watching, listening and learning all night long. Last night was informative and made me realise that I don't have to be (and never will be!!) perfect. It was reassuring to hear a lot of the comments you made, the common difficulties and advice on how to improve. Thanks again, for a great evening, and please let me know if you plan to do anything similar in the future. I will spread the word!"
